5. Joel Worth VANDAL Sr. was born on 28 Feb 1791 in Natural Bridge, Rockbridge, Virginia. He died on 19 Apr 1863 in Green Sulphur Sp, Greenbriar, Virginia. He was buried about 22 Apr 1863 in Elton, Greenbriar, Virginia. !From the Vandal Newsletter, October, 1988.
Joel Worth Vandal was born on February 28, 1791 in Natural Bridge, Rockbridge
County, Virginia. He married Charity Davis and is the patriarch of the
descendents of Fayette, Greenbrier, and Summers Counties. He ran a mill at
Green Sulphur Springs, and during the Civil War was a member of Thurmond's
Home Guards during the first year of the Confederate War. He died on April
19, 1863 in Greenbrier County, Virginia.

Joel Worth was a very smart man, great reader. He was a big man, weighing about 210 pounds, medium tall.
