154. Asa Joshua
VANDALL was born on 9 Dec 1844 in , Boone, Virginia. He died
about Sep 1889. !From the Vandal Newsletter, March 1992 and January,
1988.
Asa Joshua Vandall, son of William Thorton and Mary Jane (Darby) Vandall
served as Home Guards on the Union side in Kanawha County, Virginia during the
Civil War. He served in the U.S.A. 153rd militia of Captain Brown's Company.
He enrolled Aug. 11, 1862. He was a farmer when he enlisted. He married
Elviry Jane O'Dell, but our present records don't indicate when or where that
marriage took place, or whether the couple had children. Asa was born in
1844 and died in 1889. Asa Joshua VANDALL and Elvira Jane O'DELL were married
on 14 Jul 1869 in , Kanawha, West Virginia. Elvira
Jane O'DELL (daughter of William H. O'DELL) was born about 1849 in , Fayette,
Virginia. Asa Joshua VANDALL and Elvira Jane O'DELL had the following
