Charles Madison (Matt) Sanford was born on April 13, 1910 at Rainelle, he was
the son of the late Johnson and Victoria Sevy Sanford. Mr. Sanford was a log
truck driver and was a World War II veteran. He died December 13, 1990 in a
Beckley hospital, following a short illness.
