He enlisted in the Union Army on September 4, 1961 in Company C 36 Ohio Inf.
at Wilkesville, OH. He received an honorable discharge September 14, 1864 at
Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He is described as 5 ft. 8 in. tall with a light
complexion, blue eyes and light hair. He moved to Lisbon, Ohio in 1875 from
Wilkesville, Vinton County, Ohio.

David Marion ALTHAR and Louisa BROWN were married about 1871.¹⁶ Louisa BROWN¹⁶ died about 1889. David Marion ALTHAR and Louisa BROWN had the following children:
