Russell M. Vandel, fourth son of Claude and Mary (Rynor) Vandel, was born
north of Lineville, Iowa on January 31, 1915. Russell was married to Arneta
Hullinger June 15, 1947. They were the parents of two sons, Darrell of
Bettendorf, Iowa and Dennis of the Chicago, Ill., area.
He was raised in the Wayne County area and worked for various farmers. Later
he went to Davenport, where he worked for John Deere over 32 years.
Russell was member of the Grandview Baptist Church in Davenport for many years.
He died on July 21, 1995 at the age of 80 years. Russell Max VANDEL and Zelma
