Perry Lattqa served in the U.S. Army during World War I, overseas in France,
Belgium and Luxemburg. He served from Feb. 1918 to Feb 1919 and was honorably
discharged.

Perry Latta enlisted in the army in February, 1918 and landed in France in May
of that year. He was assigned to Co. A., 124th Machine Gun Battalion and fought
in several major battles. He received a citation, the Silver Star, for gallantry
in action in the Meuse Argonne offensive. He returned home in May, 1919.
He was a charter member and past commander of V.F.W. Post 3778 in Leon and held
a continuous membership in Garden Grove American Legion Post. Nellie Florence
